Prismacolor Premier Artist's Colored Pencils
High quality artists' grade colored pencils made by Sanford.
Their smooth, wax based leads allow intense colors and smooth blendings. Because of their outstanding characteristics, they are favored by many artists and designers.
And if you like the softness of Prismacolor Premier, but not the fact that the leads tend to break when you sharpen them - the trick is the right sharpener, which does not bend and twist the soft waxy lead too much.
Prismacolor Premier colored pencils are sold in a range of 150 colors and a colorless (not pigmented) pencil "colorless Blender".
Years ago (before January 1st, 2005), the british company Berol sold these pencils under the trademark Karismacolor. They looked a little different (the pencils were coated colorless and beveled at one end), but the leads were identical to the Prismacolor Premier.
In 2009, Sanford updated the design of their Prismacolor Pencils again. Actually, Prismacolor colored pencils are currently sold mostly presharpened.
In 2011, Prismacolor extend the range of their Premier pencils from 133 to 151 colors, the added 18 colors are listed here.Prismacolor Premier colored pencils are sold in a range of 150 colors and a colorless (not pigmented) pencil "colorless Blender".
