Grafix Dura-Lar Drafting Film

Grafix Dura-Lar Drafting Film
Dura-Lar Drafting Film is an alternative drawing surface made of polyester film.
You can draw on Dura-Lar with graphite and colored pencils, ink and other media. On the smooth surface, details are drawn precisely. Dura-Lar can be painted on both sides, as the back of the sheets is matted, too. The drawing on the back shines through subtly and achieves a depth effect or intenses your work.
And if you are not satisfied with your work: Dura-Lar is washable. ;-)

Some older books mention Mylar. Dura-Lar can be used similar to Mylar, but Dura-Lar is made of archival polyester film, whereas Mylar was made of acetate which is not resistant to age.

Drafting Film is often confused with similar-sounding products like "micro draft", which is a drafting paper and totally different (except the color).
When you compare Dura-Lar to other drafting film, please keep in mind that Dura-Lar is thicker than most other films, which means it is more stable.
